Below are some past events that our volunteers have participated in.
We took to the streets at the Taste of Kennesaw on 11/5/22 in Honor of World Kindness Day. We gave out endless compliments, 5 dozen roses, 2 dozen carnations, tons of positive affirmation stickers, Kindness Pouches, Kindness Rocks and lots of genuine Smiles. We made the world feel better. Great job to our BRAVE Kindsters for connecting with strangers! Let's remember that Kindness comes from us. We are the light. We are the ripple of good in the world and we do make a difference!
Community Creating Kindness! A rainbow of colors & kindful messages were happily painted onto rocks at our Marietta HarvestFest booth. What a great time connecting with others while dreaming about the Smiles we were making for someone else's Heart!
Thank you Lowes for Sponsoring KIDS CARE with your Generous Donation of rocks, sealant and tent decor donations! All rocks will be given away and placed about our community in honor of World Kindness Day in Nov. We sure hope you find Kindness!
The Heart of Community is Compassion. Taking Action to Serve others. Words can not capture the Universal feeling of Connectedness, Pride & Happiness that you have when serving your community with like minded Hearts. Giving your Time to benefit someone else's needs simply because you Care - that's pure Love! 💗
87 Volunteers proudly showed up & rocked Big Hearts while serving Cobb County for our "Backing the Need" School Supply Drive. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you! Thank you!
Thank You to the families who volunteered on Thursday to help us pack 260 food bags for the Salvation Army Marietta Corps. The Salvation Army will hand these food bags out to people & families in need of food assistance. You all crushed it!!!
Thank You to the families who volunteered on a Saturday morning to work together to better our community. We value your time, leadership & kind hearts!
Learning to connect with nature is a service to our world. When we are connected we care. When we care we respect. And then we Love. And when we Love we value & protect.
Let's inspire one another by creating our own poems to honor, connect to & celebrate Mother Earth. All ages welcomed & encouraged! Any style poem. All topics. Enter now for your chance to win!
If you are attending the Earth Day Clean & Play you can bring your poem with you.
You do not have to be present to win. Poems may be emailed to volunteer@kids-care2018.org by 12:30 pm on 4/22/22. Please also list your age & if we can share your poem publicly. If you win we will work out a way to get the house plant delivered to you.
One winner from each age group will win their very own house plant to take home & enjoy!
POEMS will be read anonymously to our Earth Day Clean & Play Event participants. The youth & families will then decide upon one winner per age group.
Volunteers made dog leashes for First Responders with Atlanta Rescue Dog Cafe's "One Leash Project." All leashes were donated to Marietta Fire Dept Station #3, which can be used to help secure loose pets during emergencies & reunite them with their families. This unique service learning opportunity was fun, educational, therapeutic, & supportive for local First Responders & pets. All rope was recycled climbing rope. https://therescuedogcafe.org/.
Youth volunteers created the idea to give love to seniors by making Valentine's Day Cards & coloring their sidewalks with chalk to help brighten their spirits. We had so much fun!!! 175 Valentine's Day Cards were made and given to Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory & Sterling Estates of West Cobb. Sidewalk Chalk Love was given to Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory and Winnwood Retirement Community. Chalk designs were colored in the Seniors outdoor living space. Great job all!!

We have condensed hours of Kindness, Giving, Joy, Friendship, Community, Sponsorship, Big Thoughts & Big Emotions into a 7 min video. We invite you to watch how KIDS CARE Volunteers came together to Give Kindness from our Hearts to strangers in Honor of World Kindness Day. KIDS CARE took to #MariettaSquare with over 40 volunteers of all ages with the intentions of being Kind. Our volunteers started the day with some hot apple cider and a listen to Mrs. Amie discuss Big Thoughts.

Do the youth in your life have community service ideas? Are they passionate about picking up litter? Bring your youth (all ages - 18) to our meet up on April 16th at Laurel Park in Marietta from 4:30 - 6:00.
KIDS CARE will be hosting a youth planning session on community service. We will discuss what community service is and why & how we do it. We will listen to their ideas on how they want to give back to the community and who they want to help. Their input will be heard and will influence our choice for our next big service project.
KIDS CARE will also briefly discuss environmental awareness as we hand out our litter picking tools and get to work! We will spend some time cleaning up the local park of litter, then we will evaluate what we found and discuss it.
Lastly, the youth get to have some pizza/snacks & water. At this time we will invite the youth to have some free time to play on the playground, go for a walk around the park or find a nice sitting spot to relax. (PARENTS MUST SUPERVISE THEIR YOUTH'S FREE TIME IN THE PARK).
Please email us with your families reservation (# youth & adults) at so we can plan accordingly for pizza & litter picking supplies. Thank you.
