Big Helpings given by KIDS CARE to date:

49th BIG HELPING: COMFORT COVERS FOR FEMALE FIRST RESPONDERS

We worked for months to stockpile 40 handmade "no-sew" blankets. We met our goal SOULY because of the BIG HEARTS of our Youth & Family Volunteers.

77 service hours served with an estimated donation total of $1018.34.  Thank you, Volunteers! 28 blankets were donated to female first responders attending a mental health retreat. We hope they always wrap themselves in Love & snuggle into the ever so important - rest & self-care. So grateful for their services - we're ALWAYS HONORED to CREATE KINDNESS for Firefighters, Police Officers and EMS responders.   28 Kindness Cards were also created and delivered to these brave women.

Check out our families making these blankets here: https://youtube.com/shorts/PfeOaLpqVhY?si=kfjMNX2WVkbNUh0y

46th BIG HELPING: LEARNING CPR, THE HEIMLICH MANUEVER, AED TRAINING AND STOP THE BLEED

Youth have incredible potential—not just as future leaders, but as capable changemakers right now. In January, we took our first group of teens to a Family & Friends CPR training class. This experience gave them the tools and confidence to respond in emergencies. Though we pray they never need these skills, we're so proud to know they can now respond in an emergency to help save a life. Our youth volunteers just leveled up by learning Adult CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)! 🙌 This experience empowers them to be heroes in their communities while gaining skills that will last a lifetime.
